Online Poker »Five beginners mistakes
The five most common beginner's mistakes:
Due to a lack of experience, beginners make some basic mistakes which often are quite costly.
CasinoClub Poker shows you how you can avoid them and quickly become a successful poker player.
1. Only about 20% of your starting hands at poker are profitable. You should only play really powerful hands, such as high pairs starting at AA, KK, or promising cards, such as AK, AQ etc.
2. Players often underestimate their own position at the table. One of the most important strategic features in poker is your position. In early positions, you should only play very few hands. Under the button POSITION, a lot of information about your adversaries' cards is displayed, which you can use for your advantage.
3. Beginners tend to call weak hands. You should only call if this significantly improves your winning chances. If you have strong adversaries, you should always pass with low and medium pairs.
4. Avoid ignoring your opponents and observe their playing habits closely. In poker, collecting information regarding tells is very important. Do not ignore past bets in the round, as a bet and a subsequent raise usually indicate that your opponent has powerful cards.
5. You should also avoid holding on to hands that look like they will be beaten. Poker requires a high level of self-discipline. If your chances worsen despite a good starting position, you may have to fold hands such as AK, or sometimes even AA. Passing is a very strong move in poker. Do not hold on to your cards at any price. Watch the game carefully and react to the situation to avoid losses.

You can play poker at our cash tables, or at one of our many single-table and multi-table tournaments. At the cash games, you decide when you want to join the table, how many chips you want to buy into the table, and when you want to withdraw from the table.
You choose if you would like to play Limit, Pot-Limit or No-Limit Poker. You pick the table limits depending on your experience. As a beginner, you might want to start at the tables with lower fixed limits in order to keep a cap on the amounts that you are risking.
There are two types of tournaments: single-table and multi-table tournaments.
The single-table tournaments, also called Sit'n'Go, start when the required number of players (usually 10) has joined the table. This tournament has the advantage that you can participate spontaneously.
Unlike the single-table tournaments, the multi-table tournaments start at a fixed hour, which allows you to plan your tournament schedule in advance.
